It is not your job to take care of yourself. That is God’s job.
Matthew 6
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
If you would use your money to touch other people’s lives and invest into God’s kingdom which is the primary use of money then God would take care of you. God’s kingdom and His purpose is number one priority. When it becomes your number one priority too and you take care of it then God will prosper you supernaturally because as you prosper His work gets done. He prospers you because He knows you will take care of His work. You become a financial vessel for Him to flow through.
When you start putting first the kingdom of God and giving the first fruits of all that you earn, then God will take care of you supernaturally and it will be better than you can ever take care of yourself. You don’t first meet all your needs and give God the left-overs after paying all your bills and taking care of yourself. Cater to the kingdom first and the Kingdom will cater for you.
Giving should be number one priority even before you pay your bills. Use your money to affect your future. Prosperity isn’t about how much you have, it is about how much you give away. Use your money and job not to take care of yourself first but to be a blessing to others and to take care of God’s business. God will take care of you better than you can take care of yourself if you focus on His business first before your own. This is an issue of trust.
“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.” 2Cor9:10-11
God gives seed to sowers. He gives money to givers. If you are short of money God doesn’t see you as a giver. He gives seed to sowers. When you become a sower then He will always give you seed to sow. His responsibility is to give you seed to sow. God will do whatever it takes to get seed in your hand if He’s confident you will take care of His business. Whether it means a promotion, a new job, a business deal or whatever in order for you to make more money. He will make it happen. Your responsibility is to sow it. Leave the provision to Him.
It’s really an attitude of the heart. You have to get to where blessing others is more important to you than taking care of your own needs. You have to get to where you really believe that in your heart.
When you get to where the priority of your finances isn’t to take care of yourself but to be a blessing, God will assume the responsibility of taking care of you and He will take care of you much better than you could ever take care of yourself.
God will never let you out give Him. Never. He is a God of abundance. Not of lack or enough. He is El Shadai not El Cheapo. He is the God of more than enough. God will take better care of you than you can ever take of yourself. You will have a higher standard of living and a more luxurious comfortable life if God is the one taking care of you than you will if you are the one taking care of yourself. The issue is do you trust Him?
Prosperity is all about the heart. You need to have the heart of a giver. Your goal should be to be a blessing. This is the true purpose of wealth and prosperity.
1Timothy 6
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Don’t trust in riches. Trust in God and He will give you riches. If we trust in God He will give us richly all good things to enjoy. How do we relate to finances?
1. We maintain our trust in God who gave them to us
2. We do good
3. Be involved in the ministry and in the work of God. serve any way u can
4. Be ready to distribute and give and help
5. Be willing to communicate, share, help…
